View Full Version : The Magic Window

It seems that sometime during each of my online experiences, a minimized
window containing my desktop in detail view appears on the task bar. Like
most normal people, I view my desktop in icon view, so I cannot figure out
where this phantom window comes from. As I write this, the window has not
yet appeared, but I expect it will be along soon.

What the heck can I change to suppress this annoying occurance??

Thanks in advance for any help.

you should go to www.lavasoftusa.com and install the free version of their
ad-ware software which removes spy-ware and ad-ware.

And then what?

I dled, and ran the pgm you suggested. It deleted ninety some items from
system files and the registry, but I still have the problem.

It occurs as I close my last open on-line window (my ISP does not do this
automatically).

The problem being that although my normal desktop appears as I close the ISP
program when going offline, a second task showing the desktop in detail mode
rather than as a desktop appears on the task bar.
