I am trying to copy files from the C Drive to the D
Drive, which is the CD-RW drive. After I click "write
these files to CD," I receive an error message: "There is
no disc in the drive. Please insert a writable CD into
drive D:|." After I insert the disc, I still receive the
same error message. I have tried several CD-R and CD-RW
discs, and the computer still states that there is no
disc in the drive. I have a Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-308B
drive.
What can I do? Thank you.

Is this a recent issue or have you had this problem as long as you've had
Windows XP. Do you now or did you have Easy CD Creator or Nero installed on
your current setup and then subsequently remove them?
