Is the machine a laptop?

Did you check the website of the machine's manufacturer for updates,
specifically BIOS and/or SP2-specific updates?

Did you uninstall the RC build before installing RTM?

While RTM is supposedly installable over some later RC2 builds, your best
chance for joy is to uninstall all beta builds before installing RTM. Since
it's a desktop PC, CrystalBallİ sez this, more than updates, would be your
best bet.
