So how have you partitioned and formatted the drive. It may be you just need
to go to disk management and create a partition then format the drive and
assign a drive letter. (if it doesn't do it for you)

all the best

Well you didn't really explain the problem or what you want to do
clearly. Maybe a more clear post would help. From what I see written,
I think you are saying you have a 250 GB Maxtor drive that is either not
showing the full size or is not working properly.

With your follow up explaining what the problem is and what you would
like, please also include what you see in Disk Management (Right click
on My Computer, click Manage, click Disk Management).

Reinstalling Windows should not wipe out or alter any data on this drive
since you are not installing Windows to this drive. I am curious as to
why it would wipe out the drive during the reinstall of Windows. Did
you select it to be formatted or are you saying that after installing XP
again, it fails to see anything on the drive that you know was there
before reinstalling XP?

Also, I think you are trying to say EZ-BIOS, not EZ-Drive. This is
where your problem may really come in. The only reason to use this
would be if your BIOS does not recognize the full size of the hard
drive. If this is the case, then use it. If not, get rid of it. Here
are the instructions on how to do that (Read Carefully):
