While starting up my computer I hear the message: "system
memory test failed". How can I solve this?
Thanks

Hi, Sandy.
You HEAR it? What kind of computer do you have? Most of us would see a
message on screen, and we might hear a beep or two, but we would not hear a
spoken message.
This message, if it appears at all, usually pops up immediately after
power-on. That's a LONG time before Windows ever starts to load. So, the
problem is NOT a WinXP problem. It's a problem with your computer hardware,
not with Windows. The most likely cause of such a message is faulty RAM, or
a SIMM or DIMM that has not been seated properly.
What make and model is your computer. Perhaps someone here will recognize
it and know how to fix the problem. How old is the computer? That sounds
to me like a problem that would be covered by a warranty.
