Glad to hear you had a good experience. Service packs are like Judgement Day
for users with systems that are misconfigured, poorly maintained or infected
with viruses and/or spyware. But for home users (at least) who have invested
the time to learn how to use their computers effectively, and who thoroughly
prepare for the upgrade, a successful transition to SP 2 is almost
inevitable.
That said, the upgrade experience also shows that the industry needs to do a
better job in instructing users in the proper operation of their systems.
Sure, it's the user's responsibility to learn how to use their computers,
but many are ill-equipped to understand what is expected of them.
