My mom has dial-up and has not been able to compleate the
download. I have high-speed, how can I download and burn
a copy for her instead of spending $10 for MS to mail one?

Thanks

Just download the "Network Install"
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/sp1lang.asp

When you go to Windows Update, look on the left side for
the additional options

Click the Personalize option, and then the Catalog option

You may now view the entire catalog, and download files to
save anywhere you want

In addition to SP1a you might also want to include this which includes the
major Critical Updates since SP1a was released
http://www.geeknewz.dk/modules.php?modid=13&action=download&id=26
and because SP1a does not include the Microsoft Virtual Machine you might as
well download this http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/msjavwu.exe and update it
with this http://fileforum.betanews.com/download.php?fid=1050022631
