I would like to know if it is possible to delete an
extended partition and then extend the primary partition
to utilise all of hard disk. hopefully it can be done
without reformatting HD.

I think you can do that through Administration Tools as long as your HDD is
set as a Dynamic Disk.

You need third party software to do this. Partition Magic from
www.powerquest.com is the easiest to use but BootIt NG from
http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ is less expensive and more reliable
