Husban is ****ED. I deleted his money files. (yeah &
emptied recycled bin too) Files are somewhere on hard
drive but can't access them. Found undelete software for
$30. but how can I do it From Windows XP? Frustrating &
don't want to mess up anything else. "Recover" from suport
doesn't work.
Thanks Mary :(

Hopefully you haven't already overwritten some of the files. Stop using the
computer. This free program should work http://hccweb1.bai.ne.jp/~hcj58401/
Download the above Restoration file on another computer if possible and then
insert a floppy and extract the files from the download onto the floppy.
With XP running on your computer pop the floppy into the drive and run the
file called "Restoration.exe" If at all possible try to recover the lost
files to another partition, second hard drive or to a packet formatted
CD-R/W. This will prevent you from overwriting deleted files.

Can you use "System Restore" to a previous date?
