SP2 & Safe Mode Problem

I posted about a month ago regarding a problem entering
safe mode following the installation of SP2. I since
found the problem and thought I would share it with
everyone here.

After a format and fresh installation of WinXP Pro and
SP2, I started reinstalling all of my software and tested
safe mode accessibility after each program install. The
problem turned out to be Nero's InCD program in the 4.3x
flavor. Removing it again allowed me to enter safe mode.
I pulled an older copy of InCD from an archive and it
seems to work fine, both in terms of Nero capability and
SP2 compatibility. The older version I am using is 4.291.
I believe that the problem arose with the release of 4.3.

I hope this helps others who may have this frustrating
problem.
