View Full Version : Internet Properties On Destop After Completion Of Startup

After startup has been completed, the "Internet
Properties" box apears on the destop with the "Content"
tab selected. I'v tried modifying many of the "Content"
settings but the box still apears after each startup. I've
also searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base for an answer
without any luck. Anyone out there seen this before and
have a fix?

Thanks,
Dave p

Click Start, Run and enter MSCONFIG Go to the Startup tab. Look for any
entry that refers to INETCPL.CPL If found, uncheck it.

INETCPL.CPL Does not show in these entries on my PC. Many
other entries though. Any other ideas?

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically. As a general rule, its not necessary to
include Running Services in a newsgroup reply.
