View Full Version : Starting multiple instances of the same program - aaarrrgh!

I just got a new XP machine. My .jpg files are
associated with the Paint Shop program. When I right-
click to open up or edit a .jpg, it opens a whole new
instance of Paint Shop each time I open a file. So I
have different pictures in each of 4 running copies of
Paint Shop, for example.
Why won't it put the file in the copy of Paint Shop
already running?
Thanks!

Check Paint Shop's options for this behavior. This is not a function of the
operating system, but the program itself. If its coded correctly, it will
know that there is already an instance running, and will load the picture
into the already open instance.
