View Full Version : SP2 works great but...

First of all let me say that after installing SP2, my XP is working great! I
know that is hard to believe, but so far, I like the changes (mostly
security ones). I have noticed a behavior change with SP2 that might be by
design. Before the upgrade, I could go "Start-->Run" and the drop-down list
would contain several files that I had recently used. After installing SP2,
the list seems to be cleared every day. Is this one of the SP2 security
precautions? (I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, CW Shredder, HijackThis and
have run a virus scan. No problems.)

Hi
This doesn't happen for me in SP2, the list is kept just as in SP1.

Wait a minute! This morning everything is still there in the dropdown list.
Maybe I was forgetting about the couple of times that I use System Restore.
I did clear the list once through Ad-Aware (negligible items).
