I have a large number of backup files on my hard disk, from installing
Windows Updates, including SP2. As I am getting short of disk space do I need
to keep these backup files, and if not, how do I remove them?

Hi David,
No, you don't need to keep the backup,
(C:\Windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$), but you do need to keep the cache
(C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles). Simply click on the backup folder and delete
it.

Hi
For folders you can consider deleting and other disk cleanup tips
after a successful SP2 installation, take a look here:
