Welcome screen-something weird

Their is something weird about the Welcome screen when I
go to log on. I routinely shut down all programs before
logging off. Yet when I go to sign back on, under my name
it always says 2-3 programs are running. Once I actually
log on, there are no programs running. Can anyone explain
this?

This is a very common problem and can just be ignored.
Windows sometimes counts background and task tray applications as programs
and sometimes 3rd party services also.

You could try running a spyware and a virus scanner on your computer.
