I have just installed Windows XP Professional. I want to
have all my folders look like they do when I click the
FOLDERS buttion at the top of the screen. (The old
explorer split screen look) How can I make the change
permanent?

it will take some tweaking you can adjust here.
control panel -> folder options
or inside the folder
view -> folder options
also inside different folders you can use:
view -> customize this folder
view -> choose details

Hi Carl,
To open folders in explorer view by default, try this:
Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe)
Goto: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
In the right-pane, change the data for "default" to "explore"
(This opens folders in "explorer" view. If you set the data as "open",
folders open in its default view)
