Hi all,
I have both Quicktime and MS photo editor, how do I set XP so that when I
open the pictue file, it goes to MS photo editor instead of Quicktime?

Right click on the file
choose open with
at bottom of the list click on "choose program"
in choose program list, click on "always use selected program to open this kind of
file"
Pick your program
OK out of dialog.

Thanks!
What about when someone send me a file, how do I choose what program to open
the file? It seems to me that there is already a Quicktime icon next to the
file name.

If you use Dons method, any picture type file that is sent to you or on your
hard drive will show the MS Photo Editor icon. After you do Dons procedure,
you might want to reboot.
