Mouse and Keyboard problems-with SP2

Ever since I installed SP2 onto my computer, the mouse
and keyboard have not been working properly.
The mouse barely wants to move, and the buttons don't
want to work. It is a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse,
and the keyboard is also wireless.
I have been using my keyboard to guide my way through IE
and MSN Messenger, although the keyboard doesn't always
want to type either.
I have tried unistalling and reinstalling the mouse, but
I can't seem to figure out what is the problem here.
Any advice?

me too - in fact it is getting worse and I can't use the key board either,
so I end up unplugging!!

my IT guru says there is nothing you can do, but I have put my case to the
techies at Microsoft.
