Problem with extensions

Hi everyone,

Whenever I download something from the net, for example a file with a
..exe extension, it saves on my computer as .xlr and the program tries to
open with Microsoft Works spreadsheet. How can I change this?

Hi Lee,

Click Start | Run | Regedit
Goto: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe
In the right-pane, check if the data for "Content Type" is set as
"application/x-msdownload"
Close Registry Editor

Click Start | Run | regsvr32 /i mshtml
Restart Windows
