I would think right after you install Xp you would install Sp2 right ?
Then maybe Directx9c, then Mobo Drivers, then sound and video drivers
and anything after that, am i about right ?

Yes, that would be best, then the proper drivers. But before you do any =
of that, if your system was prebuilt by a manufacturer (i.e. Dell, =
Gateway), you better be sure to note if you need to install any of the =
chipset and network drivers first before setting up anything else.
Then install SP2, then get the latest drivers for SP2 (if available) =
from your hradware manufacturers. By the way SP2 already has DirectX =
9.0c, so no need to get that beforehand.
If your PC maker has a BIOS flash update for your MOBO, that would be =
best done after SP2, and they typically (these days anyway) flash while =
in Windows, with no need to reboot. But check with the PC maker for =
definite specs first!!
