View Full Version : networking afther sp2 ? back to basics ????

hi MS lovers,
1/
state before sp2 = 5 working computers in networking
drives shared - home network
afther sp2 my network still there but the computers or shares are NOT or
partial visible, when i scan for computers in my workgroup it takes for ever
with the message 'programm is not responding'
2/bluetooth
i HADE a working configuration with SITECOM BLEUTOOTH
SP2 Kills my software installed and replaced the WORKING SOFTWARE with a
windows version than DOES NOT WORK as the installed software
I have no more file transfer between my NOKIA7650 and my PC
even no connection at all between BLEUTOOTH SITECOM ON A SP1 MACHINE!!

is there a good soul to guide me trough these dark day's!

Turn off all the xp firewalls

i tried to KILL this firewall, because i have a licenced one running,
even before sp2 and it WORKED
HOW DO YOU COMPLETELY KILL THIS NON UPDATED THING
UNINSTALL SP2?????

That's like using a bomb to kill a fly. Just turn of the firewall in
the security center or in network properties.

Control Panel - Admin tools - Services look for Windows Firewll/ICS and
double click. Click Stop, and set Startup type to Disabled
Make sure that your third party one is still working
