BSOD

Hi

I have WinXP Pro and fairly regularly get the BSOD just after logging in at
the windows prompt. The same driver is always referred to: wdmaud.sys, in
the STOP: message.

Checking out the MS site on this is not really helpful as it tells me to
update thro' Windows Upadate which I do regularly - in fact there ar no more
updates available for me according to Windows Update!!

Anyone any ideas what might be wrong?

You could nevertheless reinstall the Service Pack just to make sure
that it is properly installed. See "How to Download Windows Updates
and Drivers from the Windows Update Catalog on Windows XP"
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=323166).
Also the System File Checker may help here. Run
SFC /scannow
from Start > Run to start this tool.

I pasted "wdmaud.sys" in a Google and got all the info you
need, you do the same.

I believe "wdmaud.sys" is the audio drivers.

Try updating your audio drivers and see if that helps.
