Hi,

How can I set the interval for the time synch with an internet time server ?

The default is once a week, but I would like to do it once a day.

I like to use third party time programs
AnalogX has a nice free time sync program www.analogx.com

And a little fancier program is AtomTime from
http://www.atomtime.com You can set it to check for updates
every 15 minutes if you want.

There are other time programs, some from the US Naval
Observatory.

Hi Doug.

Thank you for this information.

What this utility does is to update the:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\W 32Time\Config\UpdateInterv
al

The value is in seconds.

So this can be done manually.

Thanks!

David

Yeah, I know. I wrote the utility. If you prefer editing the registry and
doing the math for how many seconds, you're welcome to it. The utility just
makes it easier.

Hi Doug,

Well, the value is in seconds, so it's quite simple :-)

But thanks for this tip. Do you know if there are any problems setting this
interval very low ?
