Locked up after SP2 upgrade

After I installed XP SP2, I can boot up to my desktop and can move my cursor
by moving my mouse, but icons/buttons don't work with mouse clicks or by
using arrows and "Enter". I cannot access "Start" or any programs. Help!!!

same problem MS tech Support NO Help
CTRL ALT DEL Bring up Task Mgr. & LOG OFF
Then Log on Mine comes up this way
