I installed Lotus SmartSuite Millenium only in order to
read a Freelance file (dumb, I know, but it is too late -
I thought it would sit there in the background). How do I
uninstall it? It has disabled my Palm synchronisation and
created a horrible desktop toolbar on start-up.

Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. In the list of currently
installed programs select Lotus Smart Suite Release 9. A Change/Remove
button will appear next to the entry when it is selected. Click that
button and you will be prompted for what parts of Smart Suite to
uninstall. Pick and choose components, or if you want the whole thing
gone then select the first option to uninstall all of smart suite.
Click OK and follow any additional prompts from there.

Suggest you contact IBM (do they still own Lotus?) as this group is for the
discussion of the Windows XP operating system. Besides, SS isn't a Microsoft
product.
