View Full Version : Highlighting text going too fast

When I highlight text for cutting and pasting, the
highlighting is way too fast. When my cursor gets to the
bottom of a screen, the highlighting flies through 2 more
pages in 1 or 2 seconds. I need to slow the highlighting
speed down and would like to know where the settings are
located to do this. Thank You

Try this. Left click to place the cursor at the beginning of the
section you wish to highlight. Now, using the scroll bar or the
up/down arrows, page through until you get to the screen that has the
end of your section in it. Hold down the shift key and then left
click the mouse pointer at your end point. All of your text will now
be selected.

It seems to me that you are searching in the wrong place; by posting
in this newsgroup and mentioning Help & Support, I imagine you are
looking for information on text manipulation in your operating system
help. Text manipulation is usually carried out as a word-processing
task. In Microsoft Word, for example, if you go to Help, type in
Select Text, and look under the section Select Text and Graphics, and
then the subsection A Large Block of Text, you will find the
information you are looking for.
