Hello,
Does any one know how to load a file from a floppy when
the file name is unknown? I saved a file last year but
when I try to load it a windo comes up that insists I
provide a name. There is only the one file on the disk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open Windows Explorer (right click on start and then left click on explore).
Left click on + to left of My Computer if necessary then click on the A
drive (Floppy) As long as XP can access the disk (there have been some
problems with 3 mode drives and XP) you will see a listing of the files on
the disk.
If the file you desire has a "registered" extension you can double click on
the filename and it will open the appropriate program on your computer (if
it is installed, of course).
