XP Pro machine takes forever to shutdown. Everything
else works fine but whenever I go to shutdown, it takes
it at least one minute to shutdown. Any ideas are
welcome...

Why is this a problem? My XP takes about 30-40 seconds to shutdown. Never
thought twice about it.... XP performs quite a bit of housekeeping before
shutdown. It takes time. The more complex the setup, the more time it will
take.

If you suspect the time is longer than it should be for your setup, take a

Hi Trey,

This behaviour is normal if the system is configured to clear page file at
shutdown.

Enable a Proper Shutdown - Download the fix from Kelly's site:
