cannot open media player

Please help!
When I try to open media player i get the toolbar and an
empty outline. A warning appears that reads " An internal
application has occurred". There is no other error msg or
error number. How can I get my media player to work?

You might try uninstalling it and reinstalling. Go to the Control Panel,
Add Remove programs, Windows Components. You can uninstall it and reinstall
it there.
