Hi.

I downloaded and installed XP without any errors. When it rebooted however,
i can only get as far as the logon screen (without any names [admin, guest
etc]) to click on. I tried ctrl+alt+del a couple times and i get no results.
alt+f4 doesn't even do anything. i booted in safe mode; same results. I tried
to revert back to last good settings; nothing.

what can i do to fix this?

I didn't have the same problem after SP2 installed.
I guess it is not the problem of SP2.
It is hard to say what kind of problem is it.
Conflict? Maybe.
Bad system files? Maybe.
Virus? Maybe.
If a file is damaged, it is no use to fix it by restore.
Because restore dosen't restore deleted files.
OH......OH........OH........OH........OH........OH ......
