Administrator log on problem...

Hi
I have just upgraded to XP pro over win 98SE.
When I stated the machine I recieved the message "Unabel
to log on to account please check the pass work and user
name" with an OK. when I clicked the OK the Welcome
window came up with One user on it, clicked the user and
it started ok. it would do this each time I started the
machine.
Then I loged on as Administrator and changed the password
(it didn't have a password before).
Now when I start the Machine it starts up straight into
administrator and dosen't give me the welcome screen to
select the users.
I added an extra user to see if it would help but no luck.
so Please HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

Do the following:

1. Go to Start->Run
2. Type control userpasswords2
3. Check Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer
