SP2 Kills my HP Gallery

After installing the new SP2 I cannot open my HP Gallery
program. I kept getting the error message: "Cannot find
file:///C:/program%20files... Make sure the path or
internet address is correct." After working with HP for
several hours their only answer that worked was to restore
my system prior to the SP2 update. Is there anyone out
there that can explain in simple terms how to have both
SP2 and HP Gallery?

That's a proprietary application. You might check the HP site and/or their
tech support about restoring the function of this application.

What is HP? Is it Harvard Publishing? Mine works with sp2

Works fine here, but I installed the HP software after installing SP2 -
might try uninstalling the HP software, applying SP2 and then reinstalling
the HP software.

As I stated, this is their proprietary application and, as such HP's
responsibility. It appears there's some incompatibility between that applet
and SP2, at least on your system. Nonetheless, it is up to HP to supply
updates if they are going to support this applet in SP2.

This often happens with proprietary applications, it is most prevalent on
applications supplied with scanners. Often, users are able to get their
scanners working or have updated drivers for their scanners but find
applications that were bundled with the scanner no longer function as they
were designed for the previous drivers. Since those apps are often supplied
by third parties, there often are no updates supplied by the scanner
manufacturer.

It would appear you are in a similar situation and unless HP is going to
support the app and update for SP2, I don't have any other suggestion for
you. Perhaps if you search Google, www.google.com, you might find other
references and perhaps some work around supplied by another user. Other
than that, it is HP's issue.
