We're having problems with a computer on which we recently installed
XP-home. This has been "activated" with Microsoft. If we dump this
computer and return it to win98 - must we also sacrifice the program, or can
we install it on another computer?

Hi Axel,

A retail (not OEM) version of WinXP Home can be moved to another machine as
long as it is removed from the first one. If you already activated it on one
system, you may simply need to phone in activation and tell them that you
moved it. You will be given a new activation code.
