I'm interested to know where Media Player 9 stores its data on MP3s. I've
edited certain information in selected MP3s. However, when I log in as
another user the information is not there. Another problem in line with
this is that the information I've edited (like lyrics and others) gets lost
when I re-install Windows XP.

I will greatly appreciate any help.

The file format you use has a predetermined set of metadata that it can
store about that particular file. To enhance that, as well as to provide a
set of metadata about your library as a whole, Media Player creates a wmdb
file, which it keeps in "Documents and Settings\your user name\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player" by default. I haven't
actually tried copying this to a new profile or machine to determine if that
works or not. I Googled it, and people seem to suggest that this should
work.
