The installing of SP2 went in ok but it stuffed up my monitor settings.
The screen is only about 2/3 the normal size and only 4 colours.

XP home usually sets up my monitor perfectly on installation.

SP2 stuffs it up..........Now thats progress???????
Now I know how sheep feel when being herded into a pen....

Reinstall the drivers for the video card and monitor. Adjust the screen
size with the monitor controls. Right click on the desktop, choose
properties and make adjustments in there.

Try reinstalling your video card drivers. Use drivers from the device
mftr.'s website, not from Windows Update. If it is too difficult to see
on your system, download the drivers on a working pc and burn to cd-r.

When you upgrade your OS its quite common that you need to also upgrade
some drivers. Perhaps that is the problem.

Never heard of this happening? I don't think that SP2 will actually update
any graphic drivers simply because there are too many out there that it
would not be aware of. As with any major update, you need to do a manual
update to any incompatible hardware drivers.
