I installed SP2 on my XP Pro laptop yesterday and ever since, any program I
try and install which uses an MSI file fails!
It hangs half way through and won' cancel - I have to kill the process.
Is there a way around this before I uninstall the SP?
I tried searching Google and Technet and nothing.

I experienced similar problems in the short time before I reverted to
SP1. Included messages when Add/Remove failed to uninstall programs,
implicating MSI as cause.

I have reverted back - it was driving me mad.
Next time I format I will try again.
