XP sp2 enhanced virus protection

Running Athlon 64 and xp sp2, heared about CPU virus
enhancement if using xp sp2. But I can not find any
information on how to activate it / or if it is active
all the time and if I can get any confirmation that it is
working??!! - I feel so stupid on this matter (probably
because I AM stupid - don't tell anyone!)

The protection that you are thinking of is related to what is sometime
referred to as NX (No Execution) now know as DEP - Data Execution
Prevention.
There is coverage of it in at

You can turn it on etc by looking at the System applet in Control Panel ...
Advanced (tab) ... Performance section Settings (button) ... Data Execution

Thanks Mike, I have turned on Dep for all programs and
have not encounter any problem with programs yet.
Xp SP2 seems to be smooth running and integrating with
Zone Alarm Pro and Norman Virus Control 5.7
