Pardon me if this question has been answered but is there anyway to download
SP2 and save it as a file? I have two PCs with XP home and I'd like to copy
SP2 to a CD and upgrade that way.

Download full SP2
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=
049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en

Order XPSP2 cd
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/
default.mspx

(note: urls are split for my newsreader - enter them into your browser's
addressbar on one line)

Or check your local computer and/or office supply stores for free cd's.
Lots of them have the cd available.

Sure, do a Google search for the MS website. It's about
a 270mb download but once you have it, it works fine.
Or, MS will send you a free CD. Takes a couple of weeks,
but no one has to be in a super hurry for SP2.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. But what took you so long? :) I
posted at 11:18 PST and the first response was 13 minutes after that.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/sp2predl.mspx
and the 'Download and Deploy to multiple machines' A 266 MB download

Or look for the free CDs now on magazine cover disks and in places like
Staples, or on order from
