I recently installed SP2, and it shows that I don't have an anti-virus
program.
I clearly do have Norton's and task bar shows enabled. Why the discrepance?

Ralph;
Does SP-2 not see you have anti virus installed.
Or does it see it but the Security Center does not recognize the
status?
If the later that is normal if Norton 2003 version or earlier.
No functionality of Norton is lost.
Just the new Security Center can not monitor it:

its ok
windows xp can not read the status of norton so it will
show as not recognised ,at least untill norton gets an
update pach for sp2 ,
but if enabled norton will be working fine , just xp isnt
able to see the status of norton at present

The Norton patch has been available for several weeks. The 2004 patch
works for 2003, but is not automatically offered for "live update", you
have to get it and install it manually.
