My desktop running XP SP2 is connected to the internet using a DSL modem
through a USB port. My notebook is on XP SP2. These are the only machines in
a home ethernet LAN. I used to be able to do ICS without problem, but my
notebook does not seem to be able to access the internet through ICS after
the upgrade to SP2. File sharing and printer sharing are OK.

Have tried running the home networking setup a couple of times, but no luck.
Anybody can give me a clue as to how to solve this problem?

Could you describe exactly how you tried to set up the home
networking, i.e. which choices you made?

Could your notebook once connect to the Internet or did that
never work?

On the Desktop firewall open UDP port 53.
