A Little Lost Here !!!

A little lost here....
When I go into administrative tools, then into
services....How do I change back all the settings, that I
have changed, back to the default settings, without
messing up my system. I have disabled and set some to
manual and now I think I need some of those services that
I disabled for network and router settings.
Also, where would I find info on port 678 having a
problem. Would it be my settings on my computer, some
settings on the router or my ISP settings.
