i installed SP2 on my computer and found out programs that
once use to work are now not working and my computer is
freezing. i tried to do a system restore to an earlier
point where i did not have SP2 and everything seemed to be
going smoothly. after it said it was done and needed to
reboot. all was fine until it got to the load page for
windows xp. before it got to the logon screen an error
message came on saying the winsrv was missing and that i
needed to reinstall it. errrrrrggggg!!!!! so i put in the
windows cd and resarted my computer. i tried to fix my
computer with the windows cd but when i tried fixing the
componets or trying to re-install xp a message came up
saying that it could not detect a hard drive. what the
heck!!!!! now i can't get into windows and the cd
won'thelp me at all. what can i do to fix this problem?
Help!!!!!!!

Seems you had spyware/adware on your computer when you tried the system
restore to uninstall sp2. Having spyware/adware on the computer resulted in
this error.

Always do spyware scans weekly with multiple anti-spyware/adware programs
like spybot and adaware.
