I've recently reinstalled XP and now have the hassle of having to logon
every time I start up the computer. As I am the only user this is
irritating to say the least. I've done everything suggested in messages in
this group and still have a problem.

When I reboot I get the logon message and am asked for a password - there
isn't one - so I hit return and everything continues as normal. In User
Accounts my account is listed as Pete and Administrator and I've tried
everything I can think of to not logon. The only thing that I can think of
which might have contributed to this (how I don't know) is that I only have
a recovery disk with my Laptop (that's what it came with) so that when I
reload the best I can get is a quick format not a full format and maybe some
setting are not erased but interfere with the OS.

Any Ideas?

Pete
