View Full Version : No more ASP.Net user listed? Is this normal after SP2, or after net framework update??

I have noticed, since upgrading to SP2 on my XP Pro, and - after updating my
net framework via XP update, I no longer show asp.net listed in users.
There used to be an asp.net user there, , now there is just me, my daughter,
guest, and administrator of course.

Is this by design through either SP2 or the latest .net framework update
from MS?

Just curious, far as I know my .net framework is working just fine - Drive
Image 7 uses it, and I have no problems running the program.

Hello Don,
I noticed this too after installing SP1 for the .NET Framework. If you were
the only user, you could boot up straight to the desktop without having to
use the "controluserpasswords2" workaround. I think it's a fix.
Thanks for posting!

Also if you have Tweak UI and you go to the logon section, there is a box
for " show ASP.NET on welcome screen". Mine is unchecked.

Aha,

Thanks Gordie. Makes sense that it would be a fix for that - I always use
the logon screen with password as I have myself and my daughter set up.

You are absolutely correct, I just checked and now I see the asp.net user -
thanks, now I know nothing is wrong.
