Cannot access " add and remove windows components ".
Get a message that reads :
"setup unable to load the master infomation file."
Appreciate any help on this.

If you are using Style XP or Themes XP try setting backing to the Windows
default theme.

Hi Nedjm,

Looks like the file sysoc.inf is missing from the following path:
C:\Windows\Inf

Copying the sysoc.inf from Windows XP CD-ROM or another working XP Computer
should solve the problem.

Hi Ramish,
Found sysoc.inf (winxp disk) and copied it to windows, program files,etc.and
it did
not correct the problem . Where should it be copied? Many thanks for your
help.
I would like to avoid a repair or reinstall.

Copied file sysoc.inf (766bytes) to C:\Window\inf and
the problem is still there. Appreciate any help. I need access to windows
components.
