The other answer although some what vague for a newbie
will help. I do want to point out one thing though. If you
install XP Pro on a machine you now have and then purchase
a new machine you will need to purchase a new license or
copy of XP Pro as well. The Windows Product Activation is
tied to one machine only and cannot be installed on
multiple machines. Well not legally (so Microsoft claims)
anyway. IF on the other hand you don't intend on using the
old machine that you have installed XP on then you could
wait for four months and purchase a new machine and
reinstall and activate XP on it. Microsoft, I am told,
purges their WPA records every four months. Keep smiling.
