I bought windowsxp home upgrade, and i know how to do a
fresh installation, but i am planning on building a new
computer, with a different harddrive, and i want to
install windows xp home on this one.

If i format my harddrive, sell the computer, build my new
one, and try to install, will it say i can't activate the
installation because i've already installed it on another
computer, even though i uninstalled windows from that
computer ...

poorly word, but i'm in a hurry sorry,
thanks

There is no problem doing what you want. You are entitled to move
a retail copy from one computer to another. Worst case, depending
on how long it's been, activation over the internet may fail, and
you'll have to activate by a voice call to an 800 number, but
that's quick and easy, and not a problem.

If it's been less then 120 days since you installed XP. You'll have to
Phone-in to MS and exlain that you formatted the harddrive and sold
the system. They will give you an activation number.
