View Full Version : SP2 messed up my email
zattarh

I downloaded the sp2 and now I can not receive anything but blank emails. I
get no pics or anything but some text at top and bottom of email. Also, I
could not get the .jpeg pics of my grandson. I am using incredimail and tried
downloading their outlook add on. No go. It kept telling me there was a
missing .dll in outlook. How do I get my pics back?

Regarding my previous post...
Since you are not using a newsreader, your task of searching for the answer
you need is going to be difficult....

If I could have found the answer with a search, I would not have posted the
question. I was hoping for some help here, not ridicule. My email will not
load images. I can not open .jpeg photos sent in my email. I don't have any
idea what is wrong.
Thanks to whoever can help with this. I really, really would appreciate it.

You aren't by any chance using McAfee Firewall Plus??? If so read here:
http://www.incredimail.com/english/help/im/mcfee.html
I too can't view jpeg/gif images in Incredimail. I've emailed them about
it and they provided that bit of info. So far it hasn't fixed the
situation.
I use Outlook Express for my groups such as these and if I switch I/Mail off
I can view images in OE, so it's not SP2 that's done this.

P.S. I have posted in several of these groups asking for advice on this and
never once were the posts answered. At least you got a response, albeit
negative.

Hi and thanks for trying to help. I am not using Norton or McAfee, both jam
up computers. I use VCom Fix-it 5 Utilities. I didn't have this problem
until I loaded the SP2. I have used incredimail for over a year.

Actually I was quite suprised by his attitude. I do not ask for help, I can
usually find the answer. I guess he is more "superior"???
Thank you for responding to my problem, albeit the answer won't work but
hopefully you or someone will have the answer.

You claim not to use Norton or McAfee because they "jam up" computers, yet
you use Fix-it Utilities (a kindergarten class tool) and incredimail (that
SATURATES your computer with garbage? And you want credibility?

Incredimail Premium doesn't load any ads FYI. The basic version only
flashed ads for their own products and never set off any alarms here.
maybe it was bad a while back, I wouldn't know.
Zattarh - have you used Incredimail's online support? Have you gone into IM
Tools to allow all images?

Another observation...my I/Mail problem only started a few days ago. I had
been using IM with SP2 for sometime with no problems at all until I did a
format/reinstallation of XP at the same time my McAfee products all were
upgraded and then the problem surfaced.
