After downloading and installing all seems to work fine EXCEPT my Read/Write
Lite-on LTR 16101B.

Does anyone else have that experience?

Try reinstalling the chipset (motherboard) drivers for your computer.
It seems SP2 has a way of altering the chipset drivers that are
currently in use in a way that they no longer work as they should.
Simply reinstalling them should fix the problem. If you don't know what
chipset or motherboard you have, I would suggest using Everest Home from
www.lavalys.com to find out :)

I did delete and re-install the Lite-on Reader Writer and now all works
fine.

Thanks for the tip re Everest in your hyperlink. It is a very useful and
free program.

Glad to hear it works :)

Everest is a great tool. It used to be called AIDA32 until the
developer was hired on by Lavalys and his program was taken with him.
