Hi,

Hope you can help. From the event log, I frequently get
Service Control Manager error, ID 7000. Referring to the
Help and Control Center identifies following info:

Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 7000
Source: Service Control Manager
Version: 5.0
Component: System Event Log
Symbolic Name: EVENT_SERVICE_START_FAILED
Message: The %1 service failed to start due to the
following error:
%2

Event properties identify the service name as mrtRate.

I ran the command prompt using "sc query mrtRate" and got:

Type: 1 kernal driver
State : 1 stopped (not stoppable, not pausable, ignores
shutdown)
Win32 exit code: 2 (0x2)
Service exit code: 0 (0x0)
Checkpoint: 0x0
Wait hint: 0x0

Anybody know what the error is and how to correct it?

Thanks
Phil

According to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q252/4/14.asp&NoWebContent=1
MRTRATE is part of the Quicken software. You may want to reinstall the
program and, if this does not help, contact the manufacturer for
further support.
